1.Found out one of my besties from work is leaving for a much better job and never to be seen again-literally cried for days
2. Officially found out I was going to China in January for work (don't fret people I will be gone for a week)
3. Started up my chinese lessons again-this time classroom style. I learn better when I am competing amongst strangers
4. Swish swish-had sprinkles on top of my green tea ice cream; something horribly wrong but kind of right with that combination.
5. Celebrated birthday dinner with the boyfriend at Mochica and was confronted by the host if I had a bloomspot or groupon . I almost wanted to say yes-and pondered what the deal could possibly be but 30 seconds later recoiled at how de classe I have become.
"nali, nali"-this phrase encapsulates how Chinese people are raised, instead of saying "thank you" after someone compliments you; it is more customary for the Chinese to say "nali, nali"-not really but thank you. Sometimes it takes a Chinese class to teach this Chinese person about her culture and why I can't ever take a compliment seriously.

You have become de classe, I just haven't had the heart to tell you. Can't wait to practice Chinese when I get back!
